24 Hours Not Enough?

Whether you are a career driven professional, a small business owner or a busy single parent, every single individual is bound by the restriction of time. Although each of these individuals has a variable range of tasks that require completion, for example, they face similar challenges and must effectively manage their time if they are to achieve success. Many struggle to achieve this, however, and there is one fundamental reason for this. More specifically, people fail to discern between clock time and real time, as while the former relates to the exact amount of seconds, minutes and hours in each day, the latter is relative and can be impacted by the type of activity you are undertaking and your approach to completing it.

Money Is Not an Aim

Money Is Not an Aim,

But a Tool That Helps You Reach Your Goals

Money Is Not an Aim, But a Tool That Helps You Reach Your GoalsNowadays money has become the most popular and desirable thing in this world. Everyone realizes that it’s impossible to survive without money since almost all material things and services are paid. That’s why people waste the best and the most productive years of their life at work they hate in order to earn more money. I think that unreasonable rush for wealth is a dangerous thing, because it can make people lose intellectual values and become inhuman.

My best friend always supported the quote by a famous American rapper 50 Cent, “Get rich or die tryin’”. It proves that money is the main aim in his life. He says that it’s not happiness for him, but a thing that fills his mind with confidence and desire to live.

Life Lessons You Never Knew

5 Life Lessons You Never Knew You Should UnlearnYou get a lot of advice while growing up, and while you should take some of it to heart, most of these so-called “life lessons” can be thrown out the window. In this article, I’ll look at the ones that are particularly heinous in terms of leading you down the wrong path. Without further ado…

Because You Are Older

dictionary-390055_1280We have words that are defined differently now that we are older. The fact is that life was simpler when we were younger. Our perspective in life was narrow and the necessities we needed to live were a lot less. We defined things in a minimalistic manner. There was no gray area. As we got older our views on life have expanded.

Every year we add new words to the dictionary. We do so to accommodate our ever changing perception of the world.  We now have events and circumstances that did not exist just five years ago. But they are here now and therefore worthy of being named. A news release that announces newly added words is great but what about words that now have a different meaning? Where is the announcement to make sure we are up to date with the meaning of a specific word? This would definitely help the 35 and older demographic.
Here is a sampling or words that has changed as father-time passes us by.

Morning Rituals

morning ritualHow would you like to increase your productivity, feel happier and be more confident every day?
The secret to supercharging your day is through the power of a morning ritual.

How you spend those first few minutes upon waking is a critical factor that can determine the outcome of your entire day. If you wake up feeling stressed, overwhelmed, negative and tired, then you’re definitely not getting the day started off on the right foot. Unfortunately, this is how most people start their day. They focus on all the stuff they have “to do”, then feed their mind with negativity by reading the newspaper, and consuming their cup of coffee to get that caffeine boost to get them going. They are reactive, instead of proactive.

Benefits of Failure

6 Benefits of Failure That Prove That It Is Actually a Good Thing

benefits of failureBefore we start I just want to point out that over the years, I have tried to eradicate the word failure from my vocab. It’s harsh, negative and not an accurate reflection of the situation that occurred. However I use the word failure here, as the alternative title “why not doing things as well as one hoped would turn out is actually a good thing” is a bit of a mouthful.

The Oxford English Dictionary’s definition of failure is simply “a lack of success” which actually isn’t as hard a definition as we humans seem to translate it into. We seem to think that the definition of failure is being a let-down, unworthy, or useless. Just this fact alone highlights to me that “failure” isn’t as bad as we think, but is it any good for us?

Encourage Your Child to Read

10 Ways for Parents to Encourage Their Child to Read

10 Useful Ways for Parents to Encourage Your Child to ReadEncouraging children to read has been a challenge as long as there have been kids and books. Reading is essential not only in education, but in the modern business world where so much communication takes place digitally, over email and text-based messaging systems. Because of this, the ability to read for comprehension and to communicate effectively is vital, and needs to be taught at a young age. Beyond that, reading for pleasure provides a wealth of benefits for kids as they go through school and into adulthood. A study of more than 17,000 people, recording their reading habits and academic success as children, found that those students who read for pleasure not only did better with their vocabulary and spelling, but also in math. The connection was four times as strong as that of students whose parents had graduate level degrees.
Here are some tips for parents to encourage their kids to read and turn a young reader’s reluctance into enthusiasm.
