How to Wake Up Early Without Using an Alarm Clock!

How to Wake Up Early Without Using an Alarm Clock!

Having trouble waking up early? There’s a country song by Sugarland that goes, “Missed my alarm clock ringing Woke up, telephone screaming Boss man singing his same old song
Rolled in late about an hour No cup of coffee, no shower Walk of shame with two different shoes on…”
If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. If your job or other obligations have you waking up before your body’s rhythms say so, mornings be pretty miserable. You don’t want to walk around like a zombie until you wake up! That’s no fun. You can’t think straight. You may be irritable. You can’t function without the java jolt.
You’re desperate for more sleep, but you’ve got no choice. The clock’s ticking and you have places to be and things to do.

Want to Wake Up Easily, No Matter How Early?

You may be surprised to learn that there’s a way to wake up when you need to with no alarm clock. You actually wake up when you want to, feeling rested and refreshed. No more snooze button. No more lying in bed wishing for the clock to run backwards. You simply wake UP and you’re ready to rock and roll. You don’t interrupt your sleep cycle (nothing’s worse than having to wake up when you’re in the middle of deep sleep!), and you go through the day with abundant energy.
Want to know how to wake up early? Check out the Silva Method!
You’ll benefit from the Silva Method’s Clock Exercise to program your internal clock to wake up precisely when you want to. This exercise is just one of a whole suite of mind/body management exercises offered in the Silva Method program.
The internal clock is governed by the hypothalamus. If left to its own devices, your internal clock will have you waking up naturally when you are ready. Of course if that is an hour after you have to get up for work, you’ll feel perpetually “undercooked” when you are jolted out of bed too early.

Resetting the Internal Clock

But you can consciously override that biological intelligence and program new information into the brain. You can re-set your internal clock.
You may have seen hypnotists working with people – they put a person into a very deep hypnotic trance, where they suggest some behavior to him. For example, the hypnotist will tell the person that he will have an urge to rub his eyes in precisely 1,234 seconds and at that precise time, the person will rub his eyes and smile. The hypnotist then brings the person out of the trance, tells him that he will not consciously remember what the hypnotist told him. Nevertheless, that command has been programmed into the person’s subconscious. Precisely 1,234 seconds (20.56 minutes) later, the person will rub his eyes and smile.

What’s really amazing is that no actual clocks are involved. Nobody sits and watches the clock for 1,234 seconds. So how can this possibly work? The secret lies in the imagination. The imagination is the gateway between conscious intelligence – where we decide what we want – and innate intelligence – which holds our programming.

And speaking of programming, that’s what the Clock Exercise is. It’s self-programming; a command that bypasses your conscious thought and goes straight to the subconscious. You are in complete control of what you program into your subconscious, so it’s a perfectly safe and extremely effective way of getting past your habits and creating new behaviors that suit you – designed by you, and implemented by you.

 The Clock Exercise

The Clock Exercise works like this: first, as you’re in bed and getting ready to go to sleep, you enter the alpha brainwave level. At alpha, you’re relaxed, and you are free to imagine without constraints or censorship. Using your imagination when you’re at the beta level is hard because we tend to judge the imagination and say, “that’s impossible.” That’s why functioning at alpha is essential if you’re going to do any self-programming.
Use the Clock Exercise to wake up when YOU want to!
Then, you use your imagination to specify the time you want to wake up. If you visualize a clock you’re familiar with (like the dreaded alarm clock) your visualization will be even more effective. Mentally set your desired wake-up time on the clock, and then program the desire to awaken at that time into your subconscious by stating that this is what you want, and this is what’s going to happen.
