Things Every Introvert Should RememberThere are a few important things you should remember if you are an introvert in order to be happy and feel comfortable in every situation. I am an introvert to the core and I know how it’s easy to feel uncomfortable if you are not like your friends or coworkers who like to go to karaoke bars and party the whole night. I don’t like to hang out with large groups of people and I don’t feel guilty for missing awesome parties. However, it doesn’t mean that I don’t have friends and I don’t know how to have fun. Being an introvert isn’t a bad things and you can enjoy your life to the fullest, just in your own way. Check out the list of 7 things every introvert should remember. Hopefully, they will help you live a happier life.



1. Breaks

Every introvert needs time to recharge and recuperate after they have spent a lot of time in a social situation. You don’t have to party the whole night if you physically can’t keep going. You should always know when you need a break and make sure you take it. Your mental well-being will definitely thank you and you won’t feel overwhelmed.

2. Parties

Stop feeling guilty for missing parties and any other social events. It’s okay if you want to skip that loud and crowded party once in a while. Never allow guilt to put you in a situation you do not want to be in. Being around others is very tiring for introverts and they need quiet time, so don’t feel guilty about it.

3. Friends

You might feel uncomfortable when someone tells you they have hundreds of friends. You don’t need a lot of friends, like every one of us. It’s better to have one true friend than a hundred fake friends. If you have a few true friends, trust me, you don’t need to have more. Don’t try desperately to find more friends and stop worrying about having one good friend, just make sure your friend is really true.

4. Work

Most introverts prefer to work alone and if you are one of them, don’t feel bad about it. It’s great to like to work by yourself, and you might work more effective and productive on your own than in a large group of people. Feel free to let your boss know about it.

5. Activities

Many introverts are unsure of themselves and they often close themselves off from any new experiences. It’s great to try new activities every now and then. This is the key to living a happier life. It’s easier to stay at home and read your favorite book, but why not go to the theater tonight or take a small trip this weekend? Go ahead and do it! You will like it, I promise!

6. Writing

An introvert is usually better at communicating in writing than in person. If you are an introvert, writing might be a great hobby for you. Even though introverts have a huge flow of energy from being alone with their own thoughts, they need to get their thoughts out every day. Writing in a diary is one of the best ways to do it. You can share your feelings and clear your mind in no time.

7. Extroverts

Although studies show that an introvert is happier if they act like an extrovert, you don’t have to force yourself to do things you don’t feel like doing. Perhaps your family and friends tell you to come out of your shell and change your life. However, you need to live your life the way you want to and you need to stop fearing what everyone thinks of you.
