Mahabalipuram

Taped ball Krishna

Mahabalipuram (Mamallampuram) small town, rather the tourist village about fifty kilometers south of Chennai. Mamallampuram founded Dynasty Palava and was the chief seaport of the Empire. It seems that the historical monuments here, even more than the residents. Because of the great sculptural heritage that Mahabalipuram, the town became the capital of stone carvers Tamil Nadu and the main tourist attraction in the state of Bengal coast.
In the second half of the twentieth century, the town was chosen by the French, who built here many hotels and restaurants. However, it seems Mamallampurama former glory as a quiet cozy and quiet town in the past.
One of the attractions of the town - the oil ball Krishna - the most favorite tourist destination in Mahabalipuram place for photography. This is a huge spherical boulder as if glued to the flat sloping stone surface rock.

Ball (though not quite the right shape) tried to move, say, even with the help of elephants - did not work!
