A scientist discovers the five rules for mind-body healing.
Dr. William Braud, a close friend of Jose Silva’s, was one of the pioneers of mind-body healing research. After hundreds of experiments performed at the San Antonio Mind Science Research Center, Dr. Braud synthesized this concept into a framework known as the Five Rules of Mind-Body Healing:
- The need for relaxation and quietude.
- Learning to focus your attention on one thing (e.g. breathing), which allows you to develop mental self-control and avoid distractions.
- Learning visualization or imagery techniques since pictures are the preferred language of the mind.
- Incorporating intent into the process, by setting an intention for a goal to be achieved, and an expectation that it will.
- The evocation of strong positive emotions during the healing process.
Jose Silva’s discoveries, which he made earlier in the 1950s and 60s, closely resemble Braud’s eventual scientific validation.
The key to successfully harnessing these rules lies in overcoming your mind’s limitations, and training it to fully access and believe in its natural ability to heal.
And that’s where The Silva Method comes in.
